About Elena
My works are inspired by colour in a kind of mix, a cocktail that includes elements from photography, sculpture and painting. Whether it’s painting on canvas or silk, I’ve always experimented with new materials and techniques to add different dimensions to my works. I get joy from light and colour and aspire to share this with any person who takes an interest in my works and by capturing their attention my works can create pleasure. In addition to the palette and juxtaposition of colours, often a distinctive feature of my works is the inclusion of whimsical patterns and ornaments with which I aspire to convey some thoughts as well as mood within my paintings. Ultimately, this is my task as an artist:- to paint the world in bright colours and patterns and create joy in another’s mind.
